Yes, there are special picnic areas throughout the park.
You may leave the park to pick something up from your vehicle. Prior to leaving, you must have your hand stamped and show this stamp upon re-entry.
The park’s infrastructure is equipped for wheelchair users. There are wheelchairs available in the park’s shop, subject to availability upon your arrival. We cannot accept reservations. An ID card will be requested as a deposit.
We recommend purchasing your tickets in advance online, which grants access to the park via the “reserved queue”. Queues generally form from 10:00-12:30 on busier days (Sundays, bank holidays, and during school vacations). Therefore we recommend arriving as early as possible (the park opens at 9am in July and August).
The SNCF railway station in Villars-les-Dombes is just a 20-minute walk from the Parc des Oiseaux. A footpath, named “Pierre Poivre” or Pepperstone, leads directly to the park and is well-marked along the way. Villars-les-Dombes is on the Lyon – Bourg-en-Bresse line.
As a visitor, you may use the car park during your day visit to the Parc des Oiseaux. Parking at night is strictly prohibited. The Parc des Oiseaux campsite, a mere 500m away, has camping and caravan sites: (+33) 474 980 021 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Send your application (CV + cover letter) by post or email (email@example.com), specifying your area (Animal-keeper, Botanist, Administration, Reception, Restaurants). We will reply systematically.
We accept payments by card, cheque, traveller’s cheques…cash is only accepted at the park entrance. To pay in cash at our shops, you will need an “electronic wallet” card.
